Benefits of using Far-Infrared Sauna

Safe, Effective, and Gentle

Far-Infrared heat is a form of naturally occurring energy that directly heats objects by gentle infrared radiation heat, rather than by raising the temperature of the surrounding air. FIR heat is completely safe for the human body.

Burns Calories and Reduces Water Weight

As you relax in the gentle heat of our Sauna, your body is actually hard at work producing sweat, pumping blood, and burning calories. In a single sauna session you may burn more calories as you would when swimming or jogging for 30 minutes. The radiation penetrates deep into the body and while it gets our hearts to beat faster, it helps us burn calories, while raising your metabolism. This helps to rid your body of calories and unwanted water weight! An infrared sauna can burn 400-600 calories in just one 30-minute session!

Relieves Pain & Joint Stiffness

Far Infrared heat relieves pain by expanding blood vessels and increasing blood circulation. Better circulation carries off metabolic waste products and delivers oxygen-rich blood to oxygen-depleted muscles, to help reduce pain and speed up the healing process. Recent health and medical studies name FIR heat as a successful treatment for arthritis, rheumatism, sprains, neuralgia, bursitis, muscle spasms, joint stiffness and many other muscular-skeletal ailments.

Improves Skin Condition, Enhances Skin Tone

FIR waves penetrate into the deep layers of the skin, stimulating metabolism. Large water molecules containing toxins are broken down by vibration induced by the FIR waves. The deep perspiration (not achievable in a conventional sauna) removes these deeply embedded impurities and toxins.

Beauty

The skin tissues can begin to produce new cells to replace old or dead skin cells. Increased blood circulation and deep cleansing of impurities improves skin tone and elasticity, leaving the skin glowing and youthful. Research reports improvements in acne, rashes, burns, eczema, psoriasis, skin lesions and cuts.

Reduces Stress & Fatigue

Perhaps the most immediate relief the far infrared sauna offers, is simple relaxation. it melts away the stresses and anxiety of modern life. Just a few minutes in the gentle warmth of our infrared sauna gives you an overall comforting effect, soothing strained nerves and knotted muscles. You will feel revitalized and refreshed in both body and mind.

Cardiovascular Fitness

FAR Infrared Sauna improves blood circulation and strengthens cardiovascular system. As the body produces more sweat and works to cool itself, heart rate, cardiac output and metabolic rates increase, providing the conditioning benefits of continuous exercise. Dilated blood vessels lower blood pressure, thus boosting overall cardiovascular fitness. This cardiovascular workout will burn 400-600 calories per 30-minute session.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Far Infrared?

Far Infrared radiation is electromagnetic radiation of a wavelength longer than light that cannot be seen by the naked eye. The radiation hits the surface of the body and heats through a process called conversion; this radiant heat is the same as the heat from the Sun. An example of this is to consider walking down a street in warm sunshine and then entering the shade of a tree, you can feel the temperature change immediately, this is because the tree is absorbing the infrared rays from the sun.

Is an Infrared Sauna Safe to use?

Yes, because it is the same as the natural heat from the Sun there are no adverse effects, in fact unlike sunlight a Far Infrared heater panel does not emit harmful Ultraviolet (UV) rays. In some Hospitals newborn babies are kept warm by using Infrared heat. If you have any doubts or you are receiving medical treatment always consult with your Health Professional before using the Sauna.

What is the difference between an Infrared Sauna and Hot Rock (Steam) Sauna?

In a Steam Sauna heat is first created by a method of heating stones to a high temperature, then water is poured on the stones to create Steam. The Steam then heats the air which consequently heats the body. Typical temperatures in a Steam Sauna are 170 to 190 Degrees Celsius and can be uncomfortable over a period of time. Infrared radiant heat heats the body directly and operate at lower temperatures, typically 110 to 130 Degrees Celsius, which is more comfortable, uses less power to heat, and allows you to stay longer and sweat more.

How long should you stay in the Sauna?

When you first start to Sauna, begin with sessions of about 20 minutes and set the Temperature to 100 to 120 Degrees. Slowly increase the time to between 30 – 40 minutes per session maximum. Experiment with the temperature settings until you find the one which allows you to sweat a lot but still feels comfortable to remain inside.

What should you wear when using an Infrared Sauna?

Bathing clothes are recommended for use in the Sauna but you can wear shorts and a Tee shirt if you want. Make sure that you always take a towel into the Sauna with you, this will assist in keeping you comfortable and at the same time will ensure that the Sauna inside is kept clean.

Are Infrared Saunas safe for Children to use?

The Infrared Sauna is safe for children to use but ideally they should be under Adult supervision. As children have a smaller body mass than that of adults they can dehydrate more quickly. It is advisable for all Sauna Users, Adult and Children to have a glass of water before and after their sauna session to keep the body sufficiently hydrated.

How is Infrared Good for the Body?

Infrared radiation is of a light frequency that the human eye cannot detect, however it can penetrate the skin to the tissues below. The light energy is now converted to heat energy which causes our blood vessels and capillaries to dilate improving circulation and causing sweat which helps the body to get rid of many toxins held in by our skin.
